Perth is an extraordinary place; it is absolutely miles from any other major Australian city. Perth is by far the best thought out and designed city I’ve seen. It borders the beautiful Swan River that flows through Fremantle into the Indian Ocean. Perth is the capital of Western Australia, Australia’s largest state. It took about 5 hours flight from Sydney to get here. Perth is clean and the people are very friendly. I found the city to be quiet and a little empty and devoid of atmosphere.
